Sylvia's Restaurant

What a dream! After our church experience in Harleem we knew exactly what we had to try, and... incredible!!! Sylvia's was so much more than we could have imagined. The queue was quite big and we had to wait next to the bar. We ordered a few Sangria's while waiting and the atmosphere was amazing. The music was funky and kind of 70s. What a "Fame" feeling. I felt like I was in one of Stevie Wonder's favourite NYC restaurant and... well Obama and Samuel L Jackson were there, as we could see their pictures on the wall. The warmth felt there was impressive and still we were waiting. After a nice table we had the most amazing Sunday lunch (after my mother's). We had Southern cuisine of course, Mac 'n Cheese, Fried Chicken, corn... oh everything was finger licking. Forget it! This is a memorable stop in NYC.'
